4/27/2018 0 Comments The next step forwardOur group has made tons of progress. Our main topic was water waste, but we have narrowed it down to water waste in gardens. We learned that 50% of water we use outdoors is wasted from inefficient watering methods and systems. For example if you had a 8 foot by 8 foot garden you are already using 5 gallons of water to water this garden. Also the bigger the property the more water is used. Our group has reached out to Debby Figoni, the head of water conservation in Beverly Hills. She told us many things associated with the topic of water being wasted in gardens. We are also trying to contact Wendy Coleman, the Founder of Tower Garden. We should be concerned about the amount we use in our gardens because California is known for being in drought. We also realize the demand for water can often exceed the annual amount of rainfall. Posted by Aerin
