4/27/2018 0 Comments Our new solutionAt the beginning the faculty interviews our group didn’t have a solution. We had to tell the faculty that we had an a somewhat broad topic, which is water waste in gardens, and we had parts of an idea but didn’t have a solution. When we were interviewing the first person she gave us an idea. She said that we had good ideas and helped us bring our ideas together into one solution. We think that the interviews were really helpful and everyone gave us a ton of feedback which was very helpful since we didn’t really have a solution in the beginning. Our solution is way better after receiving feedback and critiques. Since Aerin and Carly live near each other in Brentwood the community they are solely working with is Brentwood. As for Ben and Will, which both live in the Palisades so they will be working in the Palisades. We are splitting up for the first selling to hopefully sell more. So we have finally came up with a solid solution, that involves many steps. The first step is to buy some succulent plants based on the money we will receive from sponsors. We will and already are contacting many landscaping companies and pitching our solutions to them. If they accept, they will give us the money to buy the plants. Once bought, we split up. Aerin and Carly hitting the farmer’s market in Brentwood, while Ben and Will work at the one in the Palisades. These succulent plants are not normal ones. We will provide the name and contact information of the landscaping company on the pot of the the plant. We will also attach a handout that explains how and when to water it, and what to do with the plant. Hopefully, our customers will call the company who’s name will be inscribed on the pot. They will then come over to our customer’s house and talk to them about what they need to do to improve a drought sufficient garden. Also, once customers have purchased this plant pack they will take a picture of it, post it to Instagram with the hashtag “#waterwise2018”. posted by Will
